I woke up.

I just woke up around 4:45 AM due to a butt dial. I looked at the time thinking “Damn, really?” I was just sitting there knowing I have an hour and a half to sleep and I knew there was no way that was happening. I automatically was annoyed and cranky. It took me two seconds to think “Here we go, now I’m going to be tired all day at work.”

All these negative things flowing through my mind bright and early. I rolled over, checked my text messages and then something came to me.

EXACTLY, I WOKE UP.

There’s so many times in life that we let the littlest things bother us. In those moments we don’t even realize what we feel is the “worst thing ever” is actually not that at all. When we are going through things those moments feel so huge and they seem to surpass all of the positive things that we have going for us.

We actually forget that most of us woke up to a job to go to, a school to attend, a house to live in, a family to love, friends to care for, a significant other to come home to. Those are some of the most precious things that could ever be asked for.

The fact that I can wake up and text my Parents, my siblings, and most of my family “I Love you so much and I’m grateful for you” and that they have the ability to respond is one of the things I’m most appreciative of. Not everyone can say they woke up and that is such a painful thing to realize. Unfortunately, not everyone that we love is still here to read those text messages either.

I wish I could text my Aunt and tell her how grateful I am for her and how amazing I’m doing, but I cant. One thing I can do though is live my life to the best of my ability FOR HER. I can sit back and say I truly appreciate the fact that I did wake up this morning. Sometimes we live life day by day thinking what else can go wrong from here, instead of seeing all the things that are going right.

I’m not perfect and I’m sure that there will be many other days that I wake up cranky. I know there will be other times that I wake up with an attitude and don’t want to speak to anyone. This is exactly why I’m writing this.

I’m writing this to let everyone know, no matter how terrible things seem, no matter how much you feel you might even be better off not waking up, YOU ARE HERE FOR A REASON.

There is a plan for each and every one of us that woke up this morning. Work hard and strive towards your dreams because every day that you wake up you received another opportunity. Every day that you open your eyes you just opened your eyes to a new start.

MAKE TODAY BETTER THAN YESTERDAY. MAKE YOUR DECISIONS BETTER THAN YOU DID BEFORE.

If you woke up feeling hurt, heartbroken, sad. Take that moment to think about all of the things that you woke up with. Step back and think about the precious people you have in life. Think of the smile that you put on someone else’s face when you see them, not the anger that you bring out in someone else.

Think about the people who can’t go a day without talking to you. Take time to appreciate the bed you woke up in. Say thank you for the job that you’re so tired and annoyed that you have to go to. Not everyone has one, but if you do, be thankful.

Those people who bring out the worst in you, those people who DRAIN you of your positive energy and positive thoughts, TAKE A STEP BACK FROM THEM.

You can be anything that you truly put your heart into. Everything takes time, everything takes work. Work on you before you work on anything else.

Make sure you are happy with yourself.

We see homeless people all of the time. There are people who have to sleep outside in the cold. There is always someone that is going through worst than what you are right now. Instead of being thankful you’re not that person, say a prayer for the person who is going through it.

Say a prayer for your loved ones. Even if you do not believe in a higher power you can still pray for positive on others. Pass on a compliment or reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to and let them know you love them and are thinking of them.

The little things in life are the most important. You never know how much a hug can truly save someone’s day. You honestly never know when it could be your last hug or last text to someone.

APPRECIATE YOUR LIFE, APPRECIATE THOSE AROUND YOU.

When you feel upset or angry, take a moment, breath.

Remind yourself that there is a reason you are here today, and remind yourself to take today and the time you have to MAKE THE BEST YOU.

If you have made it to this point of my entry, I want you to sit back and take a second of silence to think.

Clear your mind, count to ten and take a deep breath.

Now tell yourself “I am here for a reason, and I appreciate the fact that I am here.”

There are millions of people in this world and I want anyone who is reading this to know that out of all those people YOU ARE SPECIAL.

Sometimes we think that nobody would care if we weren’t here anymore but that is far from the truth.

THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT

YOU WOKE UP THIS MORNING !!

Smile today, listen to a song that you love. If you need to cry, CRY YOUR EYES OUT.

YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. IT IS YOUR LIFE AND THAT’S WHY YOU ARE LIVING IT. APPRECIATE THE TIME YOU HAVE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. LOVE AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE LOVED.

If you haven’t received a good morning text yet, send a good morning text out. Let the people you love know that you love them.

START YOUR DAY OFF RIGHT.

Remember, you are appreciated, you are blessed. Even when it comes down to the worst of the worst, things will get better. Things will fall into place. You would never be put through a struggle that you can’t handle. After this, you will only get stronger.

Tell a friend to tell a friend to tell another friend that you love them.

Have a blessed day, I’m so happy that you woke up this morning. 🙂
